The Stress Effect of Covid-19 Pandemic on Generation Z

Abstract

According to the world covid-19 pandemic, it had been pushed people in more diary stress including people in generation Z. This study was survey research. It’s aimed to verify the stress level of generation Z during the covid-19 pandemic. The questionnaire survey was a tool using for data collection. The sampling from unknow numbers of population, was compiled from the sample who were at the age of 15-20 years, at the amount of 385. The responded rate, with the convenience sampling method, was 155 sets which represented 40.3 percent. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistic such as mean, standard deviation, and percentage. The research results revealed that the overall stress level of the generation Z sample embraced at moderate. The most significant factors declared at the high stress level was learning matters. Others stress factors such as the environment, relationship with other people, and the personal subjects disclosed at the moderate level. Moreover, this research study found that the samples claimed that their behavior had been transformed in some conducts during the Covid-9 pandemic.                          For example, they had more realized in their financial stability both of the money saving and spending. Additionally, they were more concerned in physical and mental health. The stress as well as changed behavior of the sample of this study; therefore, could benefit for whom it may concerned - turning the threats into opportunities for forming new desired future habits should be planned.
