The Relationship between Transformational Leadership and Conflict Management of Schools under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This research aimed to study transformational leadership of school administrators, the conflict management of schools administrators , the relationship between transformational leadership and conflict management under Surat Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 2, and develop the prediction equation the conflict management by using the variable transformational leadership of school administrators as predictors. Population sample group in this research were 123 administrators under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 in academic year 2017. The instrument was questionnaires with reliability coefficient 0.945. The data was analyzed by using package software to find mean, percentage, standard deviation, and Pearson product moment correlation.


The research findings were as follows: 1) the transformational leadership of schools under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was at high level. For each aspect, it was found that charisma or idealized influence was at the highest mean. 2) the conflict management of school administrators. It was at moderate level. For each aspect, it was found that cooperation was at the highest mean. 3) The result of the relationship between transformational leadership and conflict management of school administrators was found that there was a positive relationship between transformational leadership of school administrators and conflict management of school administrators at low level. Considering transformational leadership of school administrators in each aspect, it was found that the highest relationship was individualized consideration. 4) the result of the prediction equation the conflict management by using the variable transformational leadership of administrators as predictors was found that the variable transformational leadership of administrators could predict conflict management of school administrators under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 at the statistical level of .01. The predictive power was 6.90 percent.
