A study of preference levels of services of intercity public transport system for elderly passengers in Thailand

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the connection systems and facilities for passengers in choosing to use intercity transportation services in the study area. In order to find the most important factors that elderly passengers need to take steps to facilitate travel by intercity transportation. And to provide guidance on establishing suitable facilities for elderly passengers who choose to travel via public transport between cities Use questionnaires as a research tool Collect data in the public transport system, buses, airplanes and trains by using the statistical averages (), standard deviations (SD.) To find the satisfaction and importance of important factors to help travel of The elderly and the disabled are more convenient. The research results are as follows When checking the connection system Found that in Nakhon Si Thammarat province there is a connection system and facilities for passengers to choose not to use public transport services between cities and there are only a few of these devices in some transportation systems only The important factor is the equipment that will help passengers in traveling from the inquiry found that Passengers wanting public transport found that the first important factors are Public transportation should be available from the bus terminal into the city. Highest priority ( = 4.45) Passengers of the plane found that the important factors, stairs and handrails for the elderly were of the highest level ( = 4.76) and train passengers found that the important factors The first is the railing between the wall and the railway station in Chana.
