The purposes of this research were 1) to collect data on ecological wisdoms of Pra forest utilization in the way of utilization, culture and conservation in the area of Pra forest, Nobphitum District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and 2) to set a community agreement on Pra forest utilization. The study area concerned of 4 villages; Suan Prang Village, Huay Tong Village, Thap Nam Tao Village and Huay Heang Village. This mixed method research consisted of qualitative research and participatory action research. The research procedures are interview and group discussion. Primary data were collected by interview 66 concerned villagers.  The sampling  generated by accidental sampling method. The sampling for group discussion to set a community agreement generated by purposive sampling method consisted of 30 village leaders, chief and staffs of national park, and village representatives. Secondary data compiled of concerned documents.


The research results found that ecological wisdoms of Pra forest utilization for food preservations of Pra nut are roasting, pickling, boiling, frying, plastering and cooking. The popular menu of Pra nut are curry and chili paste. For cloth dressing are fabric dyes, for children’s toys whiz balls. For village ritual is an open the Pra forest rite, this ritual shown the believable and forest conservation. In order of setting a community agreement, it found that the villagers caused consciousness and awareness in taking care of their own forest.
