Quality of Life Development for the Elderly People in Tambon Thathongmai, Kanchanadit District, Suratthani Province

Abstract
The aim of this research was to study the quality of life of the elderly in the district. The majority of the research in this project will focus on the level of life quality and development guidelines to enhance the life quality for the elderly. A combination of mixed method research was used. The samples in the study were elderly in Tambon Thathongmai, Kanchanadit District, Suratthani Province. Questionnaires and focus groups were used to analize guideline development of elderly. The study found that the overall quality of life of the elderly was at a fair level. The result of the quality of the environment, the social relationships and the body, and psychological wellbeing is at a good level.The quality of life of elderly through focus groups found that they should focus on awareness and self-esteem. The agency which is concerned should emphasize to promote and support their healthcare, careers and participation in society in order to improve their quality of life.
