Physical Activities of Undergraduate Students of Kasetsart University Bang Khen Campus

Abstract

     This research aims to study the physical activities and the effects of physical activities of first-year undergraduates of Kasetsart University Bang khen Campus in the second semester of the 2019 academic year. The study included 1,684 participants which were 510 males and 1,174 females by accidental sampling. The research instrument was a content-accurate questionnaire that was approved by five experts according to the Rovinelli and Hambleton method. The IOC result was 0.95. Then, gathering information and analyzing information to calculate percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation.
     The results showed that the most physical activity that male and female students discriminated against was walking with a percentage of 23.6% and 35.6%. The activities that male and female students chose the least were boxing, takraw, bowling, judo, rowing, dancing, etc. accounted for 0.5 and 0.6 percent. In terms of the effect of physical activity on the four aspects of students with the highest average, it was found that male and female opinions are in good and appropriate shape. Psychologically, it was found that male and female students were cheerful and happy in their opinions. In terms of intelligence, it was found that male students’ opinions have a good memory and increase learning potential. The opinions of female students are clear the brain and able to solve problems better. Finally, on the social aspect, the opinions of male and female students were that it helps to create good leadership and follower situations. Most students do their physical activities at least 3 days a week, 1 time per day and spend most of their time 30-60 minutes.
