Test Construction Ability Supporting for Subject Area Learning Group Heads of Primary School Teachers, Biboonlamphun School, Amphur Mueng, Lamphun Province

Abstract

This research and development study aimed to promote the ability to develop test and evaluation of head of primary school teachers, Biboonlamphun School, Amphur Muang, Lamphun Province. The target group using this research comprises of eight heads of primary school teachers. The instruments used for data collection were: 1) training set 2) the cognitive test of developing a test measures achievement before and after training; 3) a competency assessment form for the head of the test; and 4) a questionnaire for the opinion of head of primary school teachers on promoting the ability to develop test and evaluation. The statistics employed for data analysis were: index of item-objective congruence, difficulty, discrimination power of the item, Kuder Richardson, the Wilcoxon signed-range test, frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.


         The research results of the eight heads of primary school teachers were separated into each area as follows:


  1. The results of the post-training knowledge assessment with the training package showed that the eight heads of primary school teachers were more knowledgeable in post-training measurement and evaluation than before training. Test score result before training was gif.latex?\bar{x}= 15.63, S.D. = 4.24, and after training was gif.latex?\bar{x}= 25.50, S.D. = 1.20. The post-training percentage is between 83.33 – 90.00, which is 80% higher than the threshold. The results of examining training progress by signed-range test showed that the trainees had different scores after training and before training.

  2. The results of the overall primary test and assessment capability assessment showed that heads of primary school teachers were able to develop test and evaluation by requiring everyone to create 25 tests based on their contents and learning objectives. All tests had an IOC value between 0.67-1.00, a difficulty (p) between 0.67-0.80, and (r) between 0.38- 0.92, the rtt value is between 0.9570-0.9639, and all the criteria are met.

  3. The opinions of eight heads of primary school teachers towards management capacity developing test and evaluation showed that the training plan, training time, training content, and the use of media were appropriate.
