The Development of English Reading Comprehension Ability by Using Motion Graphic for Secondary I Students

Abstract
The potentials of using motion graphic in enhancing the quality of learning. This research aimed to 1) find the efficiency of motion graphic for secondary I students, 2) develop of English reading comprehension ability by using motion graphic and 3) study the satisfaction of students with learning through motion graphic.The population were 400 students from secondary I Students of Sawiwittaya School, the samples were 39 students by using simple random sampling method in the second semester of academic year 2020. The research instruments included motion graphic, lesson plans, achievement test with the difficulty index between 0.30 - 0.73, and the reliability at 0.92, questionnaire for the satisfaction of learners with motion graphic and the reliability at 0.91. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation and t-test.
The research results showed that 1) the efficiency of motion graphic was 84.87 / 82.48, 2) students’ achievement after using motion graphic were significantly higher than before at .05 level and 3) the satisfaction of motion graphic was at high level. Motion graphic are implicated as a useful educational tool. It creates a more learner-friendly and accessible manner for the learners to gain knowledge or information conveniently and efficiently with clarity and reading comprehension to achieve learning objectives.
