Abstract

The rapid change in digital technology in a short period has caused the world to enter the era of digital disruption. Technology plays a role in every aspect of our daily lives, sometimes replacing existing things and destroying old things to create new things. However, if technological change is to destroy producers, human beings should be the ones to destroy the old by themselves to move towards the new and better. In the field of education as well, contemporary educational technology in the digital disruption era has more complex technology, making it faster and more responsive than in the previous era and more efficient. Traditional education in the classroom that emphasizes content delivery should be modified to enhance the learning experience by appropriately adapting contemporary educational technology. This article aims to study various forms of contemporary technology in the digital transformation era, including open online courses for the masses, educational web applications, virtual reality technology, as well as artificial intelligence technology. It presents guidelines for learning application that help encourage students to participate in learning or interact with the lessons more effectively, as well as promoting self-directed learning of the students. This makes the quality of student learning have better results.
