Development of Teachers in the Productions and Use of Media for Public Relationsvia Social Media of Private Schools in Smart School Group in Surat Thani

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the state and problems in the productions and use of public relations media via social media of private schools, 2) to develop teachers in productions and use of public relations media via social media of private schools; and 3) to evaluate the development of teachers in productions and use of public relations media via social media of private schools in Smart School group in Surat Thani. The target group were collected from 18 private school public relations teachers by purposive sampling. Research tools were an interview form, a test, a skill assessment form, and a satisfaction assessment form. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.


          The research findings were as follows. 1) The teachers lacked knowledge, understanding, and skills in productions and use of public relations via social media. This caused problems in the production and use of media for school public relations through social media that were still inefficient, 2) Teacher development has organized workshops and learning exchange meetings. By applying the acquired knowledge and skills to produce and use media for public relations through social media, and 3) The evaluation of the development of the teachers in producing and using media for public relations through social media showed that teachers had higher knowledge and understanding after the workshop. Teachers have higher skills in producing and using media for public relations through social media. and satisfaction with teacher development in producing and using media for public relations through social media was at the highest level.
