The Process for Virtual Promotion to Personnel in Local Government According to Buddhism

Abstract

     The objectives of research aims to: 1)study the concepts and theories of local government organizations, 2) study the Buddhist principles related to governance, 3) integrate the promotion of ethics within personnel of local government organizations, and 4) present knowledge about the "Process for Virtual Promotion to Personnel in Local Government According to Buddhism." This study employs a qualitative research approach, utilizing in-depth interviews as a research tool through Focus Group discussions involving 16 qualified participants.
     The results of the study indicated that local government administration revolves around state governance and management for community development and problem-solving at the local level.  This is achieved through principles emphasizing behavior enhancement, motivation, human resource development, and environmental improvement including reduce conflicts and create morals and ethics for personnel. Buddhist principles related to governance are Dittha dhamma-samvattanika-dhamma, RaJa-Sangahavatthu, Agati, Adhipateyya. These principles of governance are poised to lead to the sustainable prosperity of the state and the well-being of the populace, while fostering the development of self-governance, people governance, task governance, and interrelationships, collectively referred to as the "Excellence in People, Excellence in Work, and Excellence in Thought" paradigm. The integration of ethical values within personnel of local administrative organizations must combine Buddhist principles with ethical local governance. In the realms of academia and practical application within dedication, service mind, human relations, consciousness, personnel management, via the process of training and education leading to sustainable development. The knowledge is encapsulated in the 'TUMDEE MODEL', comprising the following components: T for Training, U for Undertaking, M for Management, D for Development, E for Ethics, and E for Empowerment."
