Local Wisdom of Nipa Palm Sugar Production Aspect in Khanap Nak Sub-District, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Abstract
This qualitative research article aims to collect knowledge and local wisdom of Nipa palm sugar production and design graphic presenting the local wisdom of Nipa palm sugar production. The research used a participatory action research model. It is a collaborative process of researchers and communities and emphasizes critical analysis using group processes. It uses Purposive Sampling include Local Scholars and the farmers of Nipa Palm sugar production at least 5 in Khanap Nak 10 persons. The research tools used were semi-structured interviews and observation forms. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and focus groups together with participation.
The results of the study found that 1) collected information on local wisdom Nipa Palm sugar which resulted in a data set on local wisdom in sugar making, 11 steps 7 types of Nipa palm sugar making, and uses (leaves from leaf stalks, fruit cluster base and fruit.) 2) Community participation in designing the Nipa palm fruit and sugar making calendar as graphics designed with computer graphics programs as a medium for disseminating information on local wisdom about sugar making.
