Community Participation in Local Information Management for Intangible Cultural Heritage : Story and Myth in Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Abstract
This Research aims to study community participation in local information management for cultural heritage, stories, and legends in Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. This is a qualitative research study. Data were collected using in-depth interviews with 25 key informants. The research results found Community participation in local information management, cultural heritage, stories, and legends in Lan Saka District. Nakhon Si Thammarat Province consists of 1) searching for causes and needs of the community and joining together to find causes and needs in the community in searching the cultural heritage database in the Lan Saka District area. 2) Planning and implementation: The community has participated in planning and implementation through cooperation from government agencies planning through meetings at the village and sub-district levels to conduct searches jointly. Collect cultural information of the community 3) Decision making: The community attended a brainstorming meeting to make joint decisions from all parties, consisting of district culture, subdistrict culture, local philosophers, religious leaders, community leaders, local government organizations in the area local educational institutions Community organization groups, youth groups 4) Operations The community is involved in collecting cultural data through school activities training of interpreters for children and youth and interested citizens, and 5) Evaluation: The community has participated in the evaluation of the use of local information that has collected cultural data and stored it in an online format on the website to continue improving and developing the database.
