The development of Content and Language Integrated Learning model of Russian Language for Tourism and Services in the 21st Century

Abstract

     This research aims to investigate and analyze learning activity in the context of Russian language for tourism and services, employing Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approaches, along with study guidelines within Thai higher education institutions. The research utilizes following existing books and teaching materials related to Russian language for tourism and services: 1) Russian language for the tour guide 1 2) Russian for Tourism in Thailand and 3) ToTell the story of Thailand in Russian).The study results indicate that in terms of Content,the presentation mainly focuses on tourism in major cities. In terms of Communication, it has not yet effectively fostered the practice of the Russian language across all skills. Regarding Cognition and Culture, it primarily focuses on learning through text and vocabulary. Meanwhile,the developmental approach to learning emphasizes developing content that aligns with tourism policy while promoting learning in the 21st century. Additionally, content should be tailored to adhere to Outcome-Based Education principles and promote Russian language skills in all four areas: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
