Sustainability Transition: Ideas for Changes

Abstract
This article raises the importance of sustainability transition research by asking how to understand the transition. It introduces explanatory framework from the studies of the past transition societies. The approaches used in those studies are the dynamic of socio-technical regime with the multi-level perspectives. Innovation is the key to transition in those approaches. Defining the crisis is considered instrumental to sustainability transition. For a highly state centralization, understanding state transformation and change making become relevant.
