Child Manipulation for Committing a Criminal Offense by Omission: Case Study of the Person Exercising Parental Power

Abstract
This article aimed to study the child protection from the manipulation of person exercising parental power to commit the criminal offenses in Thailand. The study focused on the concepts, theories, principles, and provisions of relevant laws regarding the child protection from the manipulation of person exercising parental power to commit the criminal offenses. It was a comparative study of foreign laws in relevant topics in order to find the suitable approach for child protection from the manipulation of person exercising parental power to commit the criminal offenses, for the best interests of the children.
The study found that nowadays, the criminal measures for the child protection from the manipulation of person exercising parental power to commit the criminal offenses are not appropriate in terms of the interpretation. It is important that the laws shall particularly protect the children from the manipulation of person exercising parental power to commit the criminal offenses. This is to protect the children from committing the crimes or involving in criminal justice process, which may stigmatize and cause various severe damages to the children in the future.
