Abstract
การเล่นเกมถ่ายทอดสดหรือสตรีมมิ่ง (Live streaming) เป็นอาชีพ ผ่านแพลตฟอร์ม (platform) ต่าง ๆ ถูกเรียกว่า สตรีมเมอร์ (Streamer) คือนักเล่นเกมอาชีพ ในแต่ละวันจะเล่นเกมถ่ายทอดสดให้ผู้ชมทางบ้านดู ในยุคนี้มีคน
จานวนมากชอบนั่งดูคนอื่นเล่นเกมซึ่งถือเป็นความบันเทิงรูปแบบหนึ่ง หนังสือ Watch Me Play: Twitch and the Rise of Game Live Streaming ตีพิมพ์ เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2018 ช่วยขยายให้เราเข้าใจโลกที่เกิดขึ้นใหม่ของการสตรีมมิ่งบนแพลตฟอร์มที่ชื่อว่าทวีต (Twitch.tv) ผ่านมุมมองของ ที.แอล. เทย์เลอร์
