Abstract

This research aims to look at types of conflict, level of conflict, causes and conflict management in the Admission system at the Hospital A, one of the government enterprise hospitals. The study is specifically focus on conflict among registered nurses in Admission System after doctors diagnose and order to admit patients into each inpatient department. A total of twenty-five registered nurses from the outpatient department and four inpatient departments were in depth interviewed. Semi - structured interview guide was utilized. Results of this study were as follows : Types of conflict among registered nurses in the Admission System were substantive conflict and emotional conflict. Emerging conflict was the level of conflict mostly found in this study. Causes of conflict were from situate organization condition and individual condition. Majority of registered nurses resolved their conflicts by using compromise method.
