Optimism, Spiritual Well Being, Internal Locus of Control and Resilience of The First Year Undergraduate Students of Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract
The purposes of this study were, firstly, to study level of optimism, spiritual well being, internal locus of control and resilience of the first year undergraduate students of Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai Province, secondly, to compare resilience of the first year undergraduate students by personal factors, thirdly, to study the relationship between optimism and resilience of the first year undergraduate students, fourthly, to study the relationship between spiritual well being and resilience of the first year undergraduate students, and finally, to study the relationship between internal locus of control and resilience of the first year undergraduate students. The sample were 363 first year undergraduate students at Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai Province selected by Stratified Random Sampling. The research tools were questionnaires. The data corrected were analyzed by using computer package program. The statistical analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The research results of the research indicated that; 1) optimism and internal locus of control of the first year undergraduate students are at the moderate level, while spiritual well being and resilience the first year undergraduate students are at the high level 2) There was positive relationship among optimism, spiritual well being, internal locus of control and access to resilience at the statistically significant .001
