From The Orchard To Official Residence 2457 – 2480 B.E.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the changing of the area around Ratchanadda Temple before and after constructed Ratchadamnoen Avenue during the reign of King Rama V and King Rama VI. This physical landscape changed from the orchard to the residential area by many groups of people. Especially the officials who worked for the Royal Thai Government during the reign of King Rama VI. The purpose of this article is to show the basic primary sources on official residence around Ratchanadda Temple for those who do further more research about community history in Thailand.
