Lanna Local Wisdom in Mental Health Promotion Behaviors of the Elderly in Urban

Abstract
The pattern to health promotion of the elderly has the coordination of lifestyle to health promotion activity. The Objectives of this study to study the Lanna local wisdom in mental health promotion behaviors of elderly. The study was designed by cross sectional study. The sample of this research were 265 households and 26 stakeholders lived in the area Suthep sub - district Municipality Muang Chiangmai District, Chiangmai Province. Data were collected using questionnaires, informal interviews and focus group discussion. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, simple linear regression analysis, and content analysis. The results indicated that the elderly had moderate levels of knowledge, attitudes and practice (67.19 %, Mean = 2.28 ± 0.72 and 1.90 ± 0.70) . Age and lanna local wisdom in mental health promotion knowledge were significant positive relationship. (p - value = 0.004 and 0.000, , respectively). Lanna local wisdom in mental health promotion attitudes was significant negative relationship. (p - value. = 0.000).
