A Study of Using Computer Multimedia for Improving Reading Comprehension Skills of Students of The Border Patrol Police School

The objective of this research was to improve reading comprehension skills of students at Border Patrol Police School using computer multimedia. The research and development employed was consisting of 3 steps which were 1) study problems and basic information for considering research problems and solutions, 2) computer multimedia development, and 3) study the effects of computer multimedia for improving reading comprehension skills. The sample group was 30 students studying in third grade, at elementary school. The research tools were 1) computer multimedia, and 2) reading comprehension skill tests. The statistics used to analyze the collected data were mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test. The research finding revealed that 1)The efficiency of computer multimedia for improving reading comprehension skills of students of the border patrol police school (E1/E2) was 83.89/84.33 criterion 2) The reading comprehension skills of students at Border Patrol Police school were higher than before the implementation at the statistical significance level of .01.
