The Causal Relationship Model of Corporate Governance Characteristics of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and Customer Trust in SOEs of Thailand: A Comparative Study of Energy Sector and Financial Institution Sector

Abstract

The object of this research aim to compare the causal relationship model of corporate governance characteristics of SOEs and customer trust between energy sector and financial institution sector in Thailand. The samples of research were 836 SOEs customer in Thailand by Multi - Stage Sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by using descriptive statistics and compare the causal influence factors variables between energy sector and financial institution sector according to the conceptual framework between by AMOS program. The results revealed that the assessment on goodness of fit from the model found it was consistent with the empirical data, the chi-square = 61.494, the degrees of freedom = 40, the probability = 0.061, goodness of index (GFI) = 0.986, Root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) = 0.025, and the model of corporate governance characteristics and its impact on SOEs customer trust between energy sector and financial institution sector in Thailand is not different.
