Exploring the Knowledge Landscape in Developing the Betong Model to Support the Establishment of the Research and Service Innovation Education Center

Abstract
This descriptive research aims to collect and systematize the knowledge for development in the Betong Model City by synthesizing research and the results of the development projects in the area from 2016 to 2020. The other objective is proposed research results to support the establishment of the research and service innovation education center of the Betong Model City. The synthesis results can be summarized into various sectors as follows. This research concerns the area of Betong District. Five essential knowledge topics are tourism, product development, trading business, drug problem, and environment management. The research and service innovation education center for stability, prosperity, and sustainability should function as follows; 1) Diversity of integrated knowledge service centers and 2) Knowledge gaps consisted of: knowledge of service industry development and tourism in relation to tourist attractions in the area, Knowledge of product development, especially original products in the area, Knowledge of agricultural development and local commercial herbs, and to be a comprehensive community management center in terms of funding, people, and environmental resources.
