Project Design Learning to Learners’ Participations

Abstract


          The objectives of this research were (1) to study the 2nd year undergraduate students’ participations in Project Design (2) to investigate learners’ attitudes towards using Project Design in studying Organization and Modern Management course (3) to increase learners’ participations. The subjects were 124 second year Public Administration students, Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Management Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus. The instruments used in this study were behavioral evaluation form, focus group interviews, and in-depth interviews by accidental sampling. The results were as follows: 1) the data gained from the observation by using Project Based Learning technics reveals that learners tried to participate in the class more than the previous courses. 2) Learners had positive attitudes towards Project Design technic. 3) There was a positive relation between learners’ participation and teacher-learners interactions. The results of the study indicated that learners have more participation and they are being more responsible of their learning process each time which can help creating a more democratic classroom and also improving their learning achievements.
