The Development of Science Teaching Model Based on Constructivist Theory to Enhance Knowledge Construction Ability and Eagerness to Learn of PrathomSuksa 4 Students

Abstract

          This study aimed to 1) study the problems in science teaching management for Prathomsuksa 4 students under NakhonPhanom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1; 2) develop science teaching model based on constructivist theory. 3) Examine the results from the implementation of science teaching model based on constructivism theory. The finding 1) there were 2 high-level problems in the developed science teaching management for Prathomsuksa 4 students, which were knowledge construction ability and eagerness to learn. 2) The developed science teaching model based on constructivist theory to enhance the knowledge construction ability and eagerness to learn of Prathomsuksa 4 students composed of (1) orientation to the Model (2) objectives (3) syntax (4) social system (5) principle of reaction and  (6) support system. The teaching process composed of (1) eagerness to learn preparation and stimulation process (2) information seeking process (3) knowledge construction process (4) assessment process (5) knowledge application process. The developed teaching model was rated by experts to have the highest suitability. and 3) The results from the implementation of the developed science teaching model were posttest mean scores on knowledge construction ability and eagerness to learn of the experimental group were significantly higher than the pretest scores at the .05 level.
