Using Information Technology for Academic Administration Management in Schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 12, Nakhon Sri Thammarat Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were 1) to study using Information Technology for Academic Administration Management in the schools under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office 12, Nakhon Sri Thammarat province. 2) To compare the levels of using Information Technology which were categorized by positions, academic backgrounds, working experience, and the school sizes. The samples consisted of 346 people: administrators and teachers working for the schools under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office 12, Nakhon Sri Thammarat province. The research instrument was questionnaire. The data was analyzed by Frequency, Percentage (%), Mean (x),Standard Deviation (SD), T-Test and One-Way ANOVA. The researcher used Scheffe’s Method for the comparison of using Information Technology. The results showed that 1) the overall picture, using Information Technology in the schools in this area was rated at the high level. Moreover, each aspect of using was ranked at the high level. The researcher arranged those aspects depending on the averages as the followings: (a) teaching management in school, (b) academic work strategizing,  (c) development of school curriculum, (d) academic evaluation, assessment and transferring, and (e) development in technology of educational media. 2) Generally, the comparison of Information Technology usage in academic administration was different significantly at the level of .05.
