Strategies for Developing Educational Quality Culture in Nursing Colleges of Praboromarajchanok Institute

Abstract
Educational Quality Culture (EQC) is significant for any academic institute. The purposes of this research were to study EQC and to develop strategies for EQC among nursing instructors under the Praboromarajchanok Institute. A structured interview and aquestionnaire were used to collect data. Twenty five nursing colleges, also 25 directors and 625 nursing instructors from those colleges were purposively selected. The strategic development process included an assessment of EQC in each college by SWOT analysis, identification and qualification of EQC Strategies by the experts,. There were some weakness and obstacles of EQC, Resulted showed that including of administrative team, organizational culture, data based and information technology, human resources development, teaching–learning process, student affairs, research, academic services, art and cultural conservation and quality assurance. There were 2 strategies developed and qualified by the experts which included: 1) development of quality culture which were leadership development, administration team development, team culture development, and working process and methods development/modification 2) educational quality development which were teaching–learning process development, quality graduate development, research development, organizational image development (academic services), cultural distribution development and QA system development. In conclusion, a risk to failure is to apply new strategies in developing EQC without considering the organizational culture. To promote EQC among nursing Instructors is necessary, in order to change from organizational culture to quality culture. Consequently, this helps nursing instructors practice the educational quality development successfully.
