The Development of an Early Childhood Education Administration and Management Model using the Whole Child Concept for Child Development Centers of Sub-district Administration Organizations in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Development Area

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to develop a model of an Early Childhood Education Administration and Management Model Using the Whole Child Concept for Child Development Centers of Sub-district Administration Organizations in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Development Area, and to evaluate a model. The research process comprised five stages. Stage 1 study the documents for developing conceptual framework. Stage 2 study the administration and management, the samples of this study were 9 Child Development Centers of Sub-district Administration Organizations in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Development Area Rayong, Chonburi, and Chacheongsao. The respondents were center committees, directors and teachers totally 27 respondents. Stage 3 develop the model. Stage 4 evaluate the model by using connoisseurship model. Stage 5 improving a model and reporting. The research finding were as follows: (1) The components of the Development of an Early Childhood Education Administration and Management Model Using the Whole Child Concept for Child Development Centers of Sub-district Administration Organizations in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Development Area were staffing, physical environment, activity childcare and children with special needs, nutrition and food service, administration and evaluation, links with formal school, relationships with parents and community, philosophy vision and mission, health safety and first aids and curriculum and special program. (2) The result of confirmation a model comprised of 10 components were found propriety, feasibility for implementation, accuracy and utility.
