Factors Affecting the Innovativeness of Entrepreneurs in Small and Medium Enterprises in Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat Provinces

Abstract
At present, Thai entrepreneurs still lack the innovativeness. Obviously, the registration of intellectual property is very small. It is therefore necessary to investigate the entrepreneur’s characteristics of and external factors which are government sector, educational sector, capital sector and business sectors that affect the innovativeness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat provinces. Questionnaires were employed to collected data. 188 respondents were returned. The statistics used in this research were descriptive statistics that are shown in the form of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and Inferential statistics are shown in the form of multiple regression analysis. The study revealed that characteristics of entrepreneurs and external factors positively affect the innovativeness among entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized enterprises with statistical significance at the level of 0.05. Moreover, both factors explained the variance of entrepreneurial innovativeness at 19%, whereas the entrepreneur characteristics show a regression coefficient of the predictors in the standard score at 0.307 and external factors show a regression coefficient of the predictor in the form of standard score at 0.250. Therefore, pointed out that development Innovativeness of Entrepreneurs must developing entrepreneurs themselves and external factors implicated. In order to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the southernmost of Thailand keep up with the times world change and current competition.
