Readiness and Potential of Resources Towards Creative Tourism for Community Based Tourism in Lidon Sub-District, Muang District, Yala Province

Abstract
Lidon sub-district community must consider its local uniqueness and community identity in order to manage tourism activities that harmonize the community. This research therefore, conducted to analyze the context of the community. Assessed the potential of creative tourism resources and provide guidelines in preparing for tourism development. A purposive interview were used with 30 people and questionnaires were also used with 400 people to collect data in Lidon community area. The finding revealed that Lidon sub-district surrounded with an outstanding sea mist at the top of the Tok Saheh Hills, considered as its highlight and uniqueness. Moreover, people in the community paid well attention to the importance of safety and security and promoted environmental friendly tourism activities only. Analyzed the context of Lidon Sub-district are; the strength shows that the area is suitable for farming, the weakness shows that the community has a low standard of road side signage and signpost, have a respectable opportunity in developing tourism due to the strong government policy on tourism development, though funding is limiting. Potential of creative tourism resources is the uniqueness of the way of life of people in the community was a high level (Means = 3.95, Standard Deviation = 0.679) and the readiness in tourism development and tourism attraction are at a high level (Means = 3.99, Standard Deviation = 0.705). The result of this study will allow government and organization to use in develop and enhancing creative tourism activities, and promote prides in community participation creating sustainable tourism management model.
