Main Article Content
Abstract
Nowadays, Andaman communities have distinctive community identities. However, they still lack a learning network that is a medium for collecting the community knowledge. Therefore, the Nawat Witee digital network on Andaman community charms and products for lifelong learning has been researched and developed. The aims were to explore expected and actual needs of the Nawat Witee digital network, identify network development models, develop the Nawat Witee digital network, and compare learning outcomes of network users before and after using it as well as investigate their satisfaction. By means of developing the Nawat Witee digital network, investigating the outcome of use and analyzing the data from 2,000 samples living in the 5 Andaman provinces with the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified), the results revealed that the actual need of the Nawat Witee digital network was discovered at the moderate level while the expected need of the network was at the highest level. To identify the models of the network development, the data from the 75 samples were also analyzed with the content analysis. The results yielded the following models: “tourism for community agricultural and wisdom learning”. The content validity index, and media and technical quality were found at a high level and the highest level respectively. In addition, learning outcomes and the satisfaction of 50 network users were analyzed with mean, standard deviation and t-test. The results showed that the average learning outcome of learners significantly increased at 0.5 after learning with the Nawat Witee digital network while their satisfaction of the network was rated at the highest level. The results of this study indicated that the communities have had the digital innovation network which people in the community have collaboratively created. It is the network of the community created by the community and for the community.
