The Effect of Learning Package on Islamic Ethic Development for Students of Islamic Private Schools in Three Southern Border Provinces

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to establish and determine the effectiveness of a learning management activity package for the development of Islamic ethics according to the 80/80 criteria and to compare the knowledge, understanding and behavior on Islamic ethics among students of private Islamic schools before and after the school management. The sample consisted of 100 students from the                  first year of secondary level in a private Islamic school in the Southernmost provinces, obtained by purposive selection from students who were ready and applied for the activities according to the conditions of the project which are administrators, teachers, advisors and parents agreed to allow them to participate in the project. Then use a simple randomization by writing the name of the school on the label. The research instruments consisted of 1) 5 packages of learning management activities to develop Islamic ethics, 2) the Islamic ethics comprehension test, and 3) the Islamic ethical behavior assessment form. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation. and t-dependent test. The results showed that the developed package of 5 activities for learning management to develop Islamic ethics were considered by the experts to be appropriate at a high level and the efficiency was 80.65/81.43 which met the specified criteria. The knowledge, understanding and behavior of Islamic ethics of students studying from the learning management activity package after school was significantly higher than before at the .01 level.
