Development of Small Private Online Course (SPOC) on English for Tourist Guides for English Major Students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prince of Songkla University

Abstract
Nowadays, the world is progressing rapidly due to the development of innovation and technology, education must be dynamic and consistent with 21st century. Thailand is a country that earns the main income from tourism. However, there was a problem in using English to communicate because of the lack of learning materials. The study was to development of small private online course (SPOC) on English for Tourist Guides for English Major Students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, to study English for tourist guide skill and the students’ satisfaction after studying with the material. A sample was selected by purposive sampling method from 16 English major students who have enrolled in a course. The study was divided into 2 phases: 1) development of small private online course (SPOC) on English for Tourist Guides, it was found that content quality was at a very good level ( = 4.63, S.D. = 0.45) and media quality was at a very good level (
= 4.68, S.D. = .29), and 2) study the results of using small private online course (SPOC) on English for Tourist Guides were found that learners have skills at a high level and learners have a high level of satisfaction (
= 4.42, S.D. = 0.60).
