The Development of Learning Organizations Model for Large Schools under Office of the Basic Education Commission

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the components of learning organization model for large schools, 2) to create the development model of learning organization, 3) to evaluate the developed model of learning organization. Research methods were population of 2,488 people consisted of respondents including the administrators and teachers of  large schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The number of samples was 344. Research instruments were an interview form, a questionnaire, a connoisseurship record form, and a model evaluation form. The research process were by making interview, inquiry, connoisseurship, handbook of the model and evaluation of the model. The statistics used were content  analysis, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results were indicated below. 1) The developed learning organization model for large schools comprised 5 components: Personal mastery development, Mental model development, Shared vision development, Team learning development, System thinking development. 2) Creation effects in development of learning organization model modeling results were consistent with  operational guidelines to develop organization as a learning organization. 3) The result of evaluation of the developed learning organization model found that it was of highest quality in terms of utility, feasibility, propriety and accuracy.
