“Karma” in Bhaisajyavastu of The Scripture of Mῡlasarvāstivāda

Abstract

The scripture of Mῡlasarvāstivada – Bhaisajyavastu, It is about the discipline of Mῡlasarvastivāda school which is the significant scripture that the Lord Buddha taught about the types of medicine for the monks, how to make medicine, containers, and medicine storages that also including the food for the Buddhist monks who suffer an illness.  It also relates to the provisions of discipline and the reasons of Dhārini Vinaya provisions. Beside from that, this scripture does not only neglect the doctrine of the Buddha but also emphasizes the perception towards karma which is considered to be major essential content. The Lord Buddha show that the results of Karma happen to all beings unavoidably, not even Himself. Hence, He taught people to believe in karma and the result of karma in order to create pathways for Buddhists believing in the doctrines of Buddhism and following their belief in a properly way.
