A Model of Contentment Development in the Enhaencing Process of Psycho-social Behaviors of Thai Youth

Abstract

The three main objectives of the research; 1) the conditions study of the issue and the requirements about model of Contentment in the process of enhancing psychosocial behavior of the Thai youth. 2) The integration concepts of Contentment theory. 3) The presentation of the Contentment development model The researchers used Methodology mix, including research, qualitative research by interviewing 25 people with technical analysis, the TAC and quantitative research

with survey questionnaires from a sample of 364 youth people. The statistics of mean and standard deviation, the researchers found that the psychosocial behavior enhancement must require all five social institutions cooperation; family, religion, community, educational institution and mass media. By integrating the principles of Contentment in daily life which is welcome with the acquired, satisfied with the possession and pleased with the deserved. When they have their Contentment, they will be pleased with the things they possessing, doing and stop wasting the time to search for the new things. Besides they will be pleased to do even better which becomes the aspiration and lead to the basis for success, the Four Iddhippada. This Contentment render to having more useful time for the other and social which become a volunteer and appreciate the self-worth and the other, resulting in good mental health and even more consistently contributing to society become a discipline.
