A model of quality assurance system management in the excellence quality schools under the Bangkok secondary educational service area office

Abstract

     The purposes of this research were (1) to develop a model of quality assurance system management in excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office, and (2) to examine the quality assurance system management practised in the excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The steps in this research were as follows. (1) Developing the model of the quality assurance system management practised in the excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office. This research is a qualitative research. There were 17 key informants providing information helping to create the model of quality assurance system management in the excellent quality schools. The data collection instrument was an in-depth interviewing form. (2) Examining the quality assurance system management in the excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The data collection instrument in this part was a focus group with 16 teachers and administrators of the schools. The IOC of the data collection instrument was examined by 17 experts. Statistics used for data collection included Percent, Mean, and Standard Deviation. The research reports the following findings:
     (1) Aspects of the model of quality assurance system management practised in the excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office were 1) Students Potential Development, 2) Instructional Development, 3) Teacher and Personnel Development, 4) Administrator Development, and 5) Quality management Development. Each aspect contained 3 steps. They were 1) Quality Control (Plan), 2) Quality Audit (Do), and 3) Quality Check (See).
     (2) The result from the model of quality assurance system management practised in the excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office showed that the model was appropriate. The model of the quality assurance system management in the excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office was found appropriate at the highest level. The model of the quality assurance system management in the excellent quality schools under the Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area Office could be practically used.
