Development of learning experience management model to developExecutive Function (EF) skills using horses of the Sri Muang Chum Subdistrict Administrative Organization Child Development Center Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

This study was the research and development (R&D) with the following objectives: 1) to explore the current problems, 2) to create the model, 3) to implement the model in practice, and 4) to summarize the evaluation results and create the manual. The informants were 30 executives, staff, teachers who practiced teaching, experts, and the general public. The research instruments were the evaluation forms, questionnaires, content analysis, and basic statistical methods.

          The research results indicated that:

          1) The current problems found that all sectors, including the community and parents who participated and cooperated in the management of education very well. The process included an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and strategies for the development of the educational institution in all dimensions.

          2) The creation of learning experience management model revealed seven components, including 1. The curriculum and setting standards for desirable characteristics, 2. The analysis of learner group, 3. The Designing activities, 4. The compliance with activities,  5. The evaluating using DSPM and the assessing satisfaction with the model, 6. The improving and developing the model, and           7. The summarizing the results report.

          3) The implementation of the model revealed three EF skills that were suitable for pre-school children, including 1) Working memory skills, 2) Self-control and reflective thinking skills, and 3) Flexibility of thinking skills.

4) The evaluation of the process of using the model showed an average percentage of 84.39%, the satisfaction with the model was at a high level, with an average score of 4.05,  The evaluation results of the activities showed an average score of 2.74, the children with delayed development was the average score of 2.41, and children with executive function (EF) skills, all children passed the criteria, the development of the activity design manual included information on how to use the model, a summary of the steps for using the model, and the assessment of children's developmental progress according to the curriculum and executive function skills.
