พอดแคสต์ สื่อทางเลือกใหม่: กรณีศึกษาเปรียบเทียบระหว่างสหรัฐอเมริกา และ ไทย

พอดแคสต์ในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกามีจุดเปลี่ยนที่ทำให้กลายมาเป็นสื่อในกระแสหลักจากการพัฒนาในเทคโนโลยีและการพัฒนาของพอดแคสต์ในด้านคุณภาพ ในปัจจุบันพอดแคสต์ในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาสามารถสร้างรายได้หลักให้แก่ผู้จัดรายการ อนาคตของพอดแคสต์ในอเมริกามีแนวโน้มในการเติบโตเพิ่มขึ้นทั้งในด้านจำนวนพอดแคสต์ จำนวนผู้ฟัง กระแสรายได้ และคุณภาพเนื้อหา
พอดแคสต์ในประเทศไทยถือกำเนิดมาจากบุคคลที่ชอบฟังพอดแคสต์จนกลายมาเป็นผู้จัดรายการพอดแคสต์ พอดแคสต์ในประเทศไทยในปัจจุบันยังไม่สามารถก้าวผ่านไปเป็นสื่อกระแสหลักได้ เพราะปัญหาพื้นฐานในด้านการมีความสามารถในการเข้าถึงเทคโนโลยี นอกจากนี้ ยังไม่มีพอดแคสต์ใดที่สามารถสร้างรายได้จากพอดแคสต์เป็นหลัก อย่างไรก็ตาม พอดแคสต์ในประเทศไทยมีแนวโน้มที่จะเติบโตขึ้นในด้านจำนวนรายการ ผู้จัดรายการ ผู้ฟังรายการ และรายได้จากการโฆษณาในพอดแคสต์ ในส่วนของคุณภาพเนื้อหา ยังไม่พบแนวโน้มในการพัฒนาคุณภาพของเนื้อหารายการ
