Development of Innovative Digital Books in Malay Language on the Topic of Verb Formation for Malay Language Teaching Students at Yala Rajabhat University

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop digital books in Malay language on the topic of verb formation for Malay language teaching students, Yala Rajabhat University, 2) to assess the effectiveness of the Malay language digital books on verb formation according to the 80/80 criteria, and the index of effectiveness, and 3) to assess the students' satisfaction toward digital books. The sample were 2nd-4th year students in the field of Malay teaching at Yala Rajabhat University in the academic year 2020. 32 students were selected by using purposive sampling method. The research tools consisted of 1) quality assessment form of digital books, 2) an achievement test, and 3) a satisfaction questionnaire.


The results of the research showed that 1) digital books in Malay language on the topic of verb formation is qualified. They can be used as a material for learning Malay. The quality of digital book content was at a good level (gif.latex?\bar{X}=4.44), and the quality of media design was good (gif.latex?\bar{X}=4.29). 2) The digital books in Malay language on the topic verb formation were also effective as the value of 81.45/81.84 and an effective index is 0.5537. 3) Students' satisfaction toward digital books was at a high level (gif.latex?\bar{X}=4.38).
