Publishing with JIL

Peer review process

Journal of Information and Learning operates under a double-blind peer review policy, where the identity of both the peer reviewer and the author are kept anonymous from each other. Any manuscript submitted for publication must be reviewed and approved by at least two peer reviewers in the particular field or related fields, without any knowledge of the author's identity, and the Editorial Board.

Publication schedule

The journal publishes three issues a year, with 12–14 articles per issue.

Publication fee (APC)

THB 3,000–4,000

Payable after acceptance

The journal charges a publication fee ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 THB, which is payable after the article has been officially accepted for publication. Payment details will be provided by the editorial team upon acceptance. Authors are required to complete the payment before the article can proceed to the typesetting and publication stages.

Journal of Information and Learning provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Copyright notice

Journal of Information and Learning is operated by the Office of Academic Resources, Prince of Songkla University. All articles published in the journal are protected by Thailand copyright law. This copyright agreement covers the exclusive rights to share, reproduce, and distribute the article, including in electronic forms, reprints, translations, photographic reproductions, and similar formats. The authors hold the copyright for the works they have created, and the Office of Academic Resources also retains a copyright. The journal reserves the right to edit the language of papers accepted for publication for clarity and correctness, as well as to make formal changes to ensure compliance with the journal's guidelines. All authors must take public responsibility for the content of their papers.

Our development

Journal history and publisher

1990

The journal began publication under the Thai name Academic Services Journal.

2014

The journal changed its Thai name to Academic Services Journal, Prince of Songkla University.

2015–2019

Certified as TCI Tier 1 in the third assessment round.

2020–2024

Initially certified as TCI Tier 2 in the fourth assessment round.

Volume 31, Issue 2

The journal adopted the name Journal of Information and Learning.

2021

Reassessed during the fourth round and certified as TCI Tier 1 for 2021–2024.

2025–2029

Certified as TCI Tier 1 in the fifth assessment round.
