Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation

Kasalongkham Research Journal, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University

To ensure that your manuscript meets the academic standards of Kasalongkham Research Journal and increases its potential for publication, please carefully follow the guidelines below:

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

The journal accepts research articles that contribute to the creation of new knowledge or the application of knowledge to benefit society, local communities, or regional development in the following fields:

  • General Arts and Humanities
  • Business, Management, and Accounting
  • General Social Sciences
  • Education

Cultural Studies
Manuscripts may be submitted in either Thai or English.

2. Article Structure

Manuscripts must include the following components:

  • Title: Concise, informative, and relevant to the article’s content.
  • Author(s) and Affiliation(s): Full name, institutional affiliation, and contact email.
  • Abstract: Both Thai and English abstracts are required, with no more than 300 words, summarizing the objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusion.
  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords or key phrases relevant to the study.
  • Introduction: Describes the background, significance, objectives, and scope of the study.
  • Literature Review and Theoretical Framework: Clearly connects prior research and concepts to the study’s focus.
  • Research Methodology: Provides a detailed explanation of the research design, sampling, data collection tools, and analysis techniques.
  • Results: Presents findings clearly, with the aid of tables, charts, and narrative explanation.
  • Discussion: Analyzes and interprets the results in the context of related literature and practical implications.
  • Conclusion and Recommendations: Highlights the main findings and offers practical or theoretical suggestions.
  • References: All cited works must follow the APA 7th Edition format and match those referenced within the article body.

3. Citation and Referencing

  • All references must conform to APA 7th Edition
  • All sources listed in the references must be cited in-text.
  • All submissions must be written in English. For documents originally in Thai, please indicate with "(in Thai)".
  • Online sources must include a valid URL or DOI.

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Use TH SarabunPSK 16 pt for Thai or Times New Roman 12 pt for English.
  • Line spacing: 5 lines.
  • Manuscript length: Not exceeding 15 A4 pages, including tables and illustrations.

5. Academic Quality and Relevance

The article should:

  • Present novel findings or perspectives
  • Show relevance to regional or community development
  • Demonstrate academic rigor with in-depth analysis and interpretation
  • Use proper and grammatically correct Thai or English language

6. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts will be subject to double-blind peer review by at least 3 qualified reviewers.

 

Submission Guidelines for Authors

Authors wishing to submit manuscripts for consideration in the Kasalongkham Research Journal, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, must submit all required files with complete information in both Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) and PDF (.pdf) formats.

  3. Proof of Payment
    • A processing fee of 500 THB per manuscript is required for initial editorial screening by the editorial board. Please upload proof of payment along with your submission.

Important Notes for Authors

  1. Submission Requirements
    The journal reserves the right to reject any submission that does not include all required documents and files as specified in the submission guidelines.
  2. Preliminary Editorial Screening
    All manuscripts undergo an initial quality screening by the editorial board. Authors must pay a preliminary editorial screening fee of 500 THB per manuscript.
    • Please note that this fee does not constitute acceptance for publication.
    • It only indicates that the manuscript has passed the journal’s basic submission criteria.
    • If the manuscript fails this stage, it will not be sent out for peer review, and the fee will not be refunded.
  3. Publication Fee
    After the initial screening, if the manuscript qualifies for peer review, authors will be asked to pay a publication processing fee as per the journal’s announcement dated August 13, 2025. The fee structure is as follows:
    • 3,500 THB for students and staff of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University
    • 4,000 THB for students from other universities and for the general public
  4. Peer Review Process
    The manuscript will then be sent to three independent peer reviewers from diverse academic institutions.
  5. Refund Policy
    The journal reserves the right not to refund the publication fee in cases where the manuscript is not approved by reviewers for publication.

Privacy and Ethical Policy

  • All articles are peer-reviewed by three qualified experts from various institutions (double-blind review process).
  • The views and opinions expressed in each article are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the editorial board.
  • The journal does not reserve copyright restrictions for copying; however, proper academic citation is required.
  • The authors are solely responsible for any breach of research ethics found in their submissions.
