Abstract

                Instructional Model Development for Enhancing the Happiness of learning using Contemplative Education and Transformative Learning is research and development design. The objectives were to develop and study the effect of the teaching and learning model to promote happiness in learning using Contemplative Education and Transformative Learning. The sample consisted of 5 informants and 48 grade 4-6 students in academic year 2021 at Ban Krok Luek School., Center for the Development of Educational Quality and Standards: Tuksin-Denchai, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The research instruments consisted of a semi-structured interview about teaching and learning approaches to promote happiness in learning, lesson plan and a measure of happiness in learning. The research results showed that 1. The teaching model to promote happiness in learning consists of 6 components: 1) Principles of the model that emphasizes learning with a thoughtful heart develop your own thinking, self-awareness have a collective consciousness under the concept of Contemplative Education and Transformative Learning 2) the purpose of the model 3) the process of teaching and learning has 7 steps: awareness raising, prioritize problems, assign answers searching, answer searching, checking, reflexing, and summarize 4) social system 5) learner response principles and 6) support system 2. The result of using the teaching model was shown that the post-happiness in learning of the students was on significantly higher than the pre-happiness in learning at the .05 level.
