Publication Ethics

The Kasalongkham Research Journal of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University focuses on maintaining academic and research standards, as well as the ethical standards of the articles to be published and disseminated to society. Therefore, it is required that all stakeholders of the journal adhere to the following principles and ethical standards for publishing academic works:

 

Roles and Responsiblities of Author

  1. Articles submitted for publication consideration in this journal must not have been previously published or disseminated on any other platforms.
  2. Authors must not submit an article currently under consideration by the Kasalongkham Research Journal of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University to other journals simultaneously. They must wait until they receive a rejection notice from the editorial board of the Kasalongkham Research Journal of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University.
  3. Authors must write their articles according to the format specified in the "Instructions for Authors" or the Kasalongkham Research Journal Guide, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University.
  4. Authors must always use the journal's citation system when presenting or referencing the work or text of others in their own articles.
  5. Authors must present information in the article based on factual evidence and academic principles.
  6. The names of the authors listed in the article must be those who are genuinely involved in that academic work.
  7. If the article involves the use of animals, participants, volunteers, or vulnerable groups, the authors should adhere to human research ethics before collecting data. They should include the registration number and the name of the organization that provided ethical approval from the human research ethics committee, and this information should be stated in the article.
  8. Authors should also specify the sources of funding that supported the research study (if any).

 

Roles and Responsibilties of Editor and Editor in Chief

  1. The editor and editorial board are responsible for maintaining the standards and quality of the journal to ensure its credibility and relevance.
  2. The editor and editorial board are tasked with reviewing and assessing the quality of all articles submitted for publication in the journal. This involves evaluating the alignment of the articles with the journal's objectives and scope, and ensuring the quality of the peer review process before publication.
  3. The editor and editorial board must evaluate articles based on sound academic principles, without bias towards the authors or the articles under consideration.
  4. The editor and editorial board must not disclose the names of the authors and the reviewers to any other individuals.
  5. The editor and editorial board must not have any conflicts of interest or personal gain with the authors or the reviewers.
  6. The editor and editorial board must not obstruct, alter, or modify the evaluation results between the reviewers and the authors of the articles.
  7. The editor and editorial board must strictly follow the processes and procedures of the journal.

 

Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewer

  1. Article reviewers should recognize the importance of their role as academic experts. They must evaluate the assigned articles meticulously, based on academic principles and reasoning, without bias towards the content of the articles.
  2. Article reviewers must not have conflicts of interest with the authors, reveal that they are reviewing the article, or disclose any information about the article to external parties or on social media before publication.
  3. Article reviewers must ensure that they genuinely have the knowledge and understanding of the content they are evaluating. If they are unable to review the article or have any reason that prevents them from doing so, they must inform the journal editor immediately.
  4. Article reviewers should provide constructive suggestions that are academically sound and offer guidance that benefits the academic community.
  5. Article reviewers must not seek personal gain from the articles they evaluate.
  6. Article reviewers must adhere to the specified timeframe for evaluating articles and not exceed the deadline.
  7. If reviewers find that the article under evaluation contains plagiarism, they must immediately inform the journal editor and provide clear supporting evidence.
