Mahidol Music Journal

About the Journal

Mahidol Music Journal (MMJ) operates under the College of Music, Mahidol University. MMJ is a bilingual journal, publishing in both Thai and English, and is dedicated to advancing music scholarship both within Thailand and internationally. We invite prospective contributors to submit research articles, scholarly papers, and creative works related to the field of music.

MMJ encompasses a wide range of topics within music studies, including, but not limited to, music education, musicology, ethnomusicology, music business, music technology, and music therapy. Contributions are welcome from all music genres, including classical, popular, jazz, Thai music, and world music. MMJ also considers papers from interdisciplinary studies where music plays a significant role. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process, involving three reviewers for each article.

AI Usage Policy

Effective October 1, 2026, Mahidol Music Journal (MMJ) will apply its AI Usage Policy to all manuscripts submitted to the journal. The policy establishes guidelines for the responsible use of Generative AI in manuscript preparation and aims to ensure transparency, research integrity, and accountability in scholarly publishing.
