Innovation Learning Based on the Concept of Contemplative Education to Promote the Growth Mindset of Student Teachers

Abstract
This research is a single-group experimental research. Measurements were taken before the experiment and after the experiment. This research aims to 1) develop learning innovations based on the concept of contemplative education to promote the growth mindset, and 2) study the results of using innovation learning based on the concept of contemplative education to promote the growth mindset. The sample consists of 25 first-year student teachers from Suratthani Rajabhat University, selected by purposive sampling. The research tools are the growth mindset assessment for student teachers which has a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.86 and an innovation learning based on the concept of contemplative education to promote the growth mindset of student teachers. The learning innovation has an Index of Item Objective Congruence (IOC) of 0.81. This research found that 1) learning innovation based on the concept of contemplative education to promote the growth mindset have consistent results at the highest level. It consists of 8 activities; 1) orientation activities, 2) it is believed that intellectual abilities can be developed, 3) facing failure, 4) responding to challenges, 5) learning from criticism 6) self-respect, 7) goal setting, and 8) follow-up session. And The results of implementing learning innovations based on the concept of contemplative education to promote a growth mindset found that the sample group had a significant increase in growth mindset than before the experiment statistically significant at the .05 level
