Outcome-Based Learning: Creative Product Development of Communication Arts Students, Phranakhon Rajabhat University
Main Article Content
Abstract
This academic article aims to study the management of outcome-based learning, which is a learning model specified in the National Education Plan 2017-2036. The education institutes must adjust themselves to develop learners’ potential that responds to society, economy, culture, and technology changes. This project began by designing teaching subjects to create activities consistent with outcome-based learning, according to the theory of self-knowledge creation through creative work (Constructionism) in the teaching and learning process, as well as the design thinking process, which focuses on learner-centered learning and active learning. It started by taking students to study the community’s identity in the Thai Phuan community, Koh Wai Subdistrict, Pak Phli District, Nakhon Nayok Province. It was found that the Thai Phuan community has a distinctive identity in handicrafts that have been passed down, including weaving and basketry. However, the community still lacks guidelines to develop and launch new products. Therefore, it is a problem for students to develop creative products with community participation and communicate their identity through product development, according to the King’s Philosophy Project 2024, which integrated teaching and learning processes, academic services, and arts and culture together.
