Development of Learning Management System Utilizing Quality Information Technology Approach

Abstract
Learning management system (LMS) is developed by utilizing inter-disciplinary approach from three components which are learning management, quality techniques and information technology. There is a need to develop LMS which able to provide easy access online education for both teacher and learner. Moreover, Deming’s circle, which also known as Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), plays an important role in developing LMS. PDCA is an interactive four steps of Plan, Do, Check and ACT. To enhance the quality of LMS, the involvement of teacher and administrator are highly needed. The illustrated information in this presentation reveals that LMS provides benefits to teacher, learner and administrator. This review also demonstrates that the LMS protocol system works effectively. Thus, the quality of learning in the university can be improved by utilizing LMS.
