An Activity Implementation Model for Community-Based Learning

Abstract
This qualitative and participatory research aimed to examine an activity implementation model for community-based learning using a case study of Sakorn Village, Thapae District, Satun Province. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 44 key informants in Village Number 2, Sakorn Village, Sakorn Subdistrict, Thapae District, Satun Province. Findings revealed that the model comprised nine implementational steps: 1) a spatial analysis, 2) a collaboration among the four-pillar leaders, 3) designed activities for a dynamic development of community-based learning, 4) a plan and a participatory process for activity implementations, 5) the community members, mosque, and school being used as operational bases for learning and activity centers, 6) a community-provided operational platform as a learning source, 7) implementations of community activities as planned, 8) a transfer of community knowledge by local philosophers, community leaders, and youth role models, and 9) an evaluation and reflection of relevant data.
